APPLICATION DEVELOPER
LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time Permanent
The team is responsible for supporting this in-house application that provides exception management framework (detection, resolution and workflow tools) for users to manage exceptions detected during the course of business. This
product is currently deployed across a number of business units within this client and caters to a global user base of more than 1400. While this product is actively supported , the team is responsible for building WFC (Workflow Central) - a new
web based jBPM workflow platform being actively developed for new business process integrations. The individual will work across various business user groups (sales, operations, service and compliance) & other Technology teams to implement enhancements to existing software as well as potential new business rollouts in this product & WFC. There will be an ongoing support and maintenance of existing functionalities and new functionalities
rolled out.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with multiple user groups to define requirements for new exception processing functionality
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously coordinating with different technologists across different geographical
locations
• Work on 3 tier architecture starting from user desktop (Java Swing, JSPs) to database using EJB & Business process
frameworks (jBPM)
• Drive efforts to increase performance and resiliency of the software
• Share support for the application
• Function as part of a team and build relationships with other teams and peers
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
• 3-4 years of Core Java and J2EEApplication Development
• 2-3 years of relational DB experience (Sybase/UDB, SQL programming)
• 1-2 years Perl in Unix environment development
• Self-starter; Strong Analytical Skills
• Strong Problem Solving Skills
• Highly motivated to take on new project responsibilities
HUGE PLUS:
• 1-2 years of jBPM experience
• Good communication Skills
COMPENSATION:
Depending on experience...
• 2-6 years experience, $60K-$80K base, $70K-$90K total comp
• 5-10+ years experience, $90K-$125K total comp
TRAINING:
• If needed - will train in NYC and then work in Salt Lake
RELOCATION:
• $5K for relocation if needed
• Will start interview process on phone, then fly the candidate out to Salt Lake
SPONSORSHIP:
• Will sponsor if need be, but must have at least 3 years left on present status
